HSC Support

HSC study is looking a little different for students this year and library staff would like to support you all as much as we can. Library staff have put together a list of online study resources that are available. Some of these resources require a library membership and some are freely available. If you are not currently a library member – please get in touch!

Whether you’re just starting out or looking for in-depth resources for your HSC year, there’s something here for you.

Science in Context (Gale)
Introductory information and full-text articles, for scientific subjects such as Biology, Physics, Chemistry, Earth and Environmental Science and Extension Science. These are free to use with a Library card.

Environmental Studies (Gale)
Understand environmental issues that affect people globally through topic overviews, journals, news, and multimedia content. These are free to use with a Library card.

Gale Literature Resource Centre
Offers the broadest and most representative range of authors and their works, including a large collection of full-text critical and literary analysis. Requires library membership number for access.

Find Legal Answers
This is a fantastic resource for Legal Studies students. With links to a range of online study options.

Drug Info @ your library
A range of online resources and ebooks which are a fantastic resource for PDHPE students.

State Library NSW – HSC
Here you’ll find information and featured content for each of your subjects; help online and onsite; resources you can use at home, and research guides that bring together resources relevant to particular subjects. Some resources will require a state library membership – registration can be completed online and is FREE.

Your mental well being is important. There are many organisations dedicated to providing support for young people. If you don’t feel comfortable talking to anyone you know, you might feel better calling a helpline, joining a forum discussion or trying an online program. Find out more information.
