Make a splash at the library this Summer!

From 1 December, 2022 to 27 January, 2023, Muswellbrook Shire Libraries is participating in ‘Make a Splash’ a Summer reading challenge in partnership with the Muswellbrook Shire Aquatic Centres.

Junior members of the Muswellbrook Shire Libraries, up to 12 years, are encouraged to get reading during the school holidays by asking their parent or carer to register them for Beanstack and also for the Library’s free Summer Reading Challenge. Challenge participants can log their books and participate in activities to earn entry passes into our local pools during the challenge.

The Summer Reading Challenge opens for registrations on 1 December with pool entry passes up for grabs until 27 January.

Beanstack is a free online service that offers an innovative new way to connect readers of all ages with books and engaging reading activities and challenges that match each person’s interests, ages and all reading levels.

It includes book and activity logging, badges and registration for all members of the family under one account. Parents can also create accounts just for their children. In Beanstack, you can view available activities, enter the books you have read, write book reviews and more – and there are prizes to win as you progress through challenges.
