Quest to the Depths: a Summer Reading Adventure!

Are you ready to dive into a world of underwater adventure? Join our “Quest to the Depths: A Summer Reading Adventure” and discover creatures of the deep, hidden treasure, and new worlds—all through the power of books!

From Monday, 1st December – Friday, 23rd January Muswellbrook Shire Libraries is participating in ‘Quest to the Depths’, a Summer reading challenge!

We challenge our community to read and log their books to earn exclusive Summer Gear prizes. Dive into a world of excitement and exploration as we embark on a journey filled with thrilling stories, hands-on activities, and captivating discoveries.

Register, track your reading quest and be rewarded with certificates and prizes at the end of the summer! Keep in mind, your quest must be completed by the Friday, 23rd January!!

Let your imagination run wild and discover the joys of reading while making new friends. Adventure awaits—are you ready to explore the depths?

How it works?!

1.  Register for the challenge by contacting or visiting Muswellbrook or Denman Branch – you will need to have a library card in order to participate.
2. Track your progress on the Beanstack app OR request a reading passport to track your progress. If you are using the Beanstack app, you will need to register using your library card number, then join the challenge! Be sure to ask staff for assistance in getting started!
3. Log your reading on Beanstack or your passport and complete the reading challenges throughout the quest to earn badges. There are 10 badges to earn!
4. Once you earn five badges, show staff at either branch to receive your Summer Merch Prize. Be sure to complete your badges in order!!

Terms and Conditions:

• The ‘Quest to the Depths’ challenge is open to registered Muswellbrook Shire Libraries members aged 0-13 years.
• Participants must hold individual library cards to participate in the Summer Reading Challenge – membership conditions apply.
• Participants may receive a maximum of 2 Summer Merch Prizes during the challenge which can be collected from Muswellbrook and Denman Libraries prior to the close of the challenge.
• Challenge Passports (digital and print) must be shown to Library staff prior to receipt of prizes. Collection of prizes will be open during the challenge period from Monday, December 1st January to Friday, January 23rd, 2026. Completed passports will not be accepted following the close of the challenge.
