Remembrance Day Display with Terry Gill
We are very privileged at the Muswellbrook Library to have on display an amazing exhibition of military memorabilia courtesy of a Shire local, Terry Gill.
This vast collection covers many conflicts. Leading up to Remembrance Day it is wonderful to be able to showcase these items in remembering our veterans. Be sure to take the time to come and have a look.

Drug and Alcohol Info Pop-up at Muswellbrook Shire Libraries
Do you know your standards? The Drug & Alcohol Info Pop-Up will be visiting the Muswellbrook Library during November. This pop-up provides up-to-date information about drugs and alcohol and identify support networks and agencies within our local community.
Muswellbrook Shire Libraries will be hosting a series of pop up events to help you find out more information.
A literary themed mocktail making session will be held at the Muswellbrook Library on Tuesday, 8th November from 10:00am. Suitable for adults, bookings essential.
A Community Pop-Up session at Muswellbrook Marketplace will be held on Thursday, November 17 from 10:30AM – 2:00PM.
These events are supported by the Drug and Alcohol Info Pop-Up and the Community Drug Action Team (CDAT). Drug Info is a partnership between the State Library of NSW and the NSW Ministry of Health.

National Pollinator Week
November 12-20
Australian Pollinator Week acknowledges our important and unique insect pollinators during our southern spring (November). It is a designated week when communities, businesses and organisations can come together to raise awareness of the importance of pollinators and support their needs.
To celebrate Australian Pollinator Week, Muswellbrook Library will be hosting a themed STEM Story Time Session on November 17, from 10am best suited for ages 3-5 years.

Summer Reading Club 2022
Starts December 2022
Exciting activities are coming to Muswellbrook and Denman Libraries in December!

Story Time and Craft: The first and third Thursday of the month at 10:00AM – 11:00AM

LEGO CLUB
Put your Lego building skills to the test at Muswellbrook and Denman Libraries with our monthly Lego Club!
Join in on challenges that will make you think outside the box and push your building skills to the limit.
MUSWELLBROOK LIBRARY’S SESSION
Muswellbrook Library’s Lego Club will now be held on the first and third Mondays of each month. This month’s sessions will be held on Monday, November 7 and 21 from 3:45pm to 4:45pm.
DENMAN LIBRARY’S SESSION
Denman Library’s Lego Club is held on the second Monday of each month. This month’s session will be held on Monday, November 14 from 3:30pm to 4:30pm.

BOOK CLUB AT THE LIBRARY

Joining a book club can be a fun and interesting way to meet people as well as indulging your love of reading.
Muswellbrook and Denman Libraries host monthly book clubs that you can join to discuss this month’s read with a cuppa in hand.

DENMAN LIBRARY BOOK CLUB
The Denman Library book club is held the first Tuesday of each month. This month’s session will be postponed a week and held on Tuesday, November 8 from 1:15PM.

MUSWELLBROOK LIBRARY BOOK CLUB
The Muswellbrook Library book club is held the second Tuesday of each month. This month’s session will be held on Tuesday, November 8 from 2:00PM.

Bookings essential, please contact Muswellbrook library on 6543-1913 or Denman Library on 6547-2208 to register.

BRAIN TRAINING AT THE LIBRARY

Train your brain at Muswellbrook and Denman Libraries.
Join us and get ready to challenge your mind and exercise your mental agility. Each session will run for approximately an hour. Stay around for a cuppa and a chat following the session.

CRAFT GROUP AT MUSWELLBROOK LIBRARY

Join our friendly craft group 10AM Tuesday mornings each fortnight at Muswellbrook Library. Bring along your current project or start something new while having a chat and sharing inspiration and ideas!

Sessions this month will be held on 22 November from 10AM.

LITERARY COCKTAIL MAKING @ THE LIBRARY
What do you get when you cross literary favourites with delicious thirst-quenching concoctions?
Join us for this mocktail making event at the Muswellbrook Library as we share some mocktail recipes and learn about drug and alcohol issues affecting older people and where to get help.
When: November 8 from 10AM
Where: Muswellbrook Library

UPPER HUNTER WRITERS COLLECTIVE MEETING
Join the Upper Hunter Writers Collective at the Muswellbrook Library each month for motivation, support and feedback from others who have a passion for writing. Even if you don’t plan on sending work out to publishers, but just enjoy writing as a hobby, this group is a way of sharing your love of the written word.
This month’s meeting will be held on Tuesday, November 15 from 4:00PM – 5:00PM
This group will be meeting the third Tuesday of each month.

BEN’S BOOK CLUB
Join Ben Hobson in conversation with Petronella McGovern as they discuss her latest novel ‘The Liars’.
This month’s meeting will be held on November 22, at 7:00PM AEST.

This group will be meeting on the fourth Tuesday of each month.

During this digital book club, guests will have the opportunity to ask questions, interact with the authors, and enjoy a well-rounded bookish discussion.
