This month Muswellbrook and Denman Libraries have a range of activities for all ages, including school holiday activities, a Youth Week movie screening and more! Library Closures
Thursday March 6, 2025
Our Muswellbrook and Denman Branches will be closed from Friday April 18 to Monday April 21 due to the Easter Long Weekend.
Muswellbrook Library will reopen on Tuesday April 22nd, from 10am.
Denman Library will reopen on Tuesday April 22nd, from 2pm.
Our Muswellbrook and Denman Branches will be closed from Friday April 25 the ANZAC Day Public Holiday.
Muswellbrook Library will reopen Saturday April 26 from 10am.
Denman Library will reopen Monday April 28 from 10am.
Both branch’s returns chute will be available during this time for any returns.

Boba, Brushes and Big Screens: A Youth Week Event
Boba and Big Screens
Location: Muswellbrook Library – Seminar Room
Date: Wednesday 16 April
Time: 10:15AM
Learn to make boba, bring a pillow and a blanket to get comfy and settle in for a FREE movie screening for Youth Week! Oodies and PJs are encouraged for an extra cozy day.

Mini Art Competition
Theme: ‘I am’
All materials supplied. Collect your art supplies from Muswellbrook Library from Monday, March 24.
Submissions due to Muswellbrook Library before April 11th.
This competition will be judged at the Boba and Big Screens event on Wednesday April 16th by the attendees with winner will be announced during the event.

Hop into Denman Library for an Easter themed Rhyme Time session on Monday April 14th from 10:00AM.
Celebrate Easter with stories, songs, Easter crafts and enjoy a visit from a special guest.

FREE PLAY LEGO SESSION AT MUSWELLBROOK LIBRARY
Have fun and make some cool Lego creations these school holidays!
Get hands on at this Free Play Lego session at Muswellbrook Library. Pop in at any time between 2pm and 4pm and build to your hearts desire!

Come along to our Robotics Obstacle Course at Muswellbrook Library and put your coding skills to the test! Using our Blue Bots you’ll have to navigate obstacles and dodge roadblocks!

Story Time and Craft: Thursday mornings at 10:00AM – 11:00AM
DENMAN LIBRARY’S SESSIONS
Rhyme Time sessions will run weekly on Mondays from 10:00AM.

LEGO CLUB
Join in on Lego building challenges that will make you think outside the box and push your building skills to the limit. Bookings are essential.
MUSWELLBROOK LIBRARY’S SESSIONS
Muswellbrook Library’s Lego Club is held on the first and third Mondays of each month.Monday, April 7 from 3:45PM to 4:45PM.
DENMAN LIBRARY’S SESSION
Denman Library’s Lego Club is held on the third Tuesday of each month.Tuesday, April 15 from 3:20PM to 4:30PM.

Suitable for ages 6 – 12 years.
Children under the age of 13 must be supervised by an adult at all times.
CIRCLE TIME AT MUSWELLBROOK LIBRARY
Join us at Muswellbrook Library for an interactive Circle Time session, that will be filled with movement, music and craft! Suitable for ages 0-6 years.
Circle Time sessions will be fortnightly on Tuesdays. Sessions this month will be held on Tuesdays, April 8 and 22 from 10AM.
CREATIVITY CLUB AT DENMAN LIBRARY
Come along to Denman Library for a social and interactive session where you will create and collaborate on arts and crafts projects.
Bookings are recommended for preparation of supplies.
Mondays April 7 at 3:20PM to 4:00PM
Suitable for ages 5-12 years. Siblings are welcome.

BEN’S BOOK CLUB
Join Ben Hobson in conversation with author Riley James to discuss her debut novel, ‘The Chilling’, a compelling winter thriller filled with icy twists.
This month’s session will be held on Tuesday April 22nd, at 7:30PM AEST

Joining a book club can be a fun and interesting way to meet people as well as indulging your love of reading.

Join the Upper Hunter Writers Collective at the Muswellbrook Library each month for motivation, support and feedback from others who have a passion for writing.
Our Services
HOME LIBRARY SERVICE
Did you know we run a free home library service to housebound members of the Muswellbrook and Denman Communities? We can pick for you, or you can use our online catalogue to make a selection of books, DVDs, CDs and Audio books that pique your interest. We also have audio readers available for members with low to no vision.
Deliveries will be made on March 4th and 18th.

Our FREE Click and Collect services are now available at Muswellbrook and Denman Branches to eligible library members. Reserve things you are interested in or let us make selections for you.

TECH HELP
These BYO device sessions are designed to help you get started on library digital collections, learn how to use your device and general tech assistance.
These sessions can be booked one-on-one for a maximum of half an hour.
