December Closures

Our Muswellbrook and Denman Branches will be closed on Friday December 6 for Muswellbrook Shire Council end of year celebrations.

Muswellbrook Library will reopen Saturday, December 7 from 10am

Denman Library will reopen Monday, December 9 from 10am

Muswellbrook Shire Libraries will be closed from 1pm Saturday, 21st December and will reopen Thursday, 2nd January, 2025.

Muswellbrook Library will reopen from 10AM, Thursday 2nd January, 2025.
Denman Library will reopen from 10:30AM, Thursday 2nd January, 2025.

Return chutes at Muswellbrook and Denman Libraries will be open for returns during this time.

Curiosity Quest: Summer Reading Adventure
Monday, 2nd December – Friday, 24th January

Muswellbrook Shire Libraries is participating in ‘Curiosity Quest’, a Summer reading challenge in partnership with the Muswellbrook Shire Aquatic Centres! We challenge our community to read and log their books to earn entry passes into the Muswellbrook Shire Aquatic Centre during the challenge. Dive into a world of excitement and exploration as we embark on a journey filled with thrilling stories, hands-on activities, and captivating discoveries.

 How it works?!

1. Register for the challenge by contacting or visiting Muswellbrook or Denman Branch – You will need to have a library card in order to participate.
2. Track your progress on the Beanstack app OR request a reading passport to track your progress. If you are using the Beanstack app, you will need to register using your library card number, then join the challenge! Be sure to ask staff for assistance in getting started!
3. Log your reading on Beanstack or your passport and complete the reading challenges throughout the quest to earn badges. There are 10 badges to earn!
4. Once you earn five badges, show staff at either branch to receive your entry token into the Muswellbrook or Denman pool. Be sure to complete your badges in order!!

LEGO CLUB

Join in on Lego building challenges that will make you think outside the box and push your building skills to the limit. Bookings are essential.

MUSWELLBROOK LIBRARY’S SESSIONS

Muswellbrook Library’s Lego Club is held on the first and third Mondays of each month.
Mondays, December 2 from 3:45PM to 4:45PM.

DENMAN LIBRARY’S SESSION

Denman Library’s Lego Club is held on the second Monday of each month.
Wednesday, December 11 from 3:30PM to 4:30PM.

Suitable for ages 6 – 12 years.
