Muswellbrook and Denman Libraries will be closed on Thursday, January 26, for the Australia Day public holiday. Both branches will re-open on Friday, January 27 from 10am.

This month Muswellbrook and Denman Libraries have some fantastic School Holiday events for all ages!
‘Make a Splash’ with our Summer Reading Challenge that closes on January 27, and come along to Muswellbrook and Denman Libraries for some fun, interactive Summer activities!

All regular activities will resume in February.

Summer Reading Challenge 2022: Make a Splash!
Closes January 27, 2023

This summer, make a splash and dive into a great book! Log your minutes reading and and discover fun activities while you’re at it! — All while earning badges on a bingo card!

From Thursday, December 1, 2022- Friday, January 27, 2023, Muswellbrook Shire Libraries is participating in ‘Make a Splash’, a Summer reading challenge in partnership with the Muswellbrook Shire Aquatic Centres! We challenge our community to read and log their books to earn entry passes into our local aquatic centres during the challenge.

WATER ART AT THE LIBRARY

Unleash your inner artist at Muswellbrook and Denman Library’s Water Art events!
Create your own artwork using water paints and different objects and tools! Let your inner artist go water wild!

Do you know someone who loves LEGO®?
Register to attend one of our FREE School Holiday sessions with Bricks 4 Kidz®!! Try your hand at the Mining and Crafting (Inspired by MineCraft®), Jurassic Brick Park and Pocket Brick Monsters stations.

TEEN MANGA WORKSHOP

Come to this fun, guided, step-by-step Animé / Manga character drawing workshop with illustrator and graphic designer Matthew Lin!
These workshops are FREE open to teens aged 12-18 years!! Lunch will be provided at each session – come along to one or both!!

Did you know we run a free home library service to housebound members of the Muswellbrook and Denman Communities? We can pick for you, or you can use our online catalogue to make a selection of books, DVDs, CDs and Audio books that pique your interest. We also have audio readers available for members with low to no vision.
