National Simultaneous Storytime (NSS) is held annually by the Australian Library and Information Association (ALIA). Every year a picture book, written and illustrated by an Australian author and illustrator, is read simultaneously in libraries, schools, pre-schools, childcare centres, family homes, bookshops and many other places around the country.
The National Simultaneous Storytime (NSS) book for 2024 is Bowerbird Blues by Aura Parker (Scholastic, 2023).
Muswellbrook Library will be hosting a special Story Time session on Wednesday, May 22nd from 10:45am. Group bookings are essential.
Contact Muswellbrook Library on 6543-1913.
This inclusive activity is open for children ages 0-5 years. Please contact our Muswellbrook Branch if you would like to discuss any supports for your family prior to attending.

FOGO Information Pop-Up
Tuesday, May 21 from 10:30am
Food Organics Garden Organics (FOGO) is a residential kerbside collection service where food is added to the existing green lid bin so it can be recycled into valuable compost instead of being sent to landfill.
Muswellbrook Shire Council will transition the existing Garden Organics waste service to a FOGO service in July 2024. Once the service starts, residents will be able to dispose of food waste materials in addition to garden organics waste using the existing green-lid bin.
Curious about FOGO? Visit Muswellbrook Library on Tuesday, May 21 from 10:30am – 11:30am. Drop in to learn more about what FOGO is, what it changes and more!
