The Two Teabags

The Two Teabags – aka Marj and Shirl – will soon wheel their tea trolley full of fun, games, music and frivolity into Muswellbrook Library!

Marj, a cleaner (and former country Showgirl), and Shirl, a tea lady ever so slightly rough around the edges but with a heart of gold, will bring warmth and hilarity as they entertain through music, games, movement and meaningful engagement. All this takes place as everyone enjoys a well-earned “smoko” following a grueling morning of tidying up after a party in one of the rooms – with some outrageous discoveries revealed! The 45-minute show is followed by a relaxed meet and greet with the performers, giving attendees the chance to browse their collection of memorabilia – bound to spark conversation and stories of lives well lived.

This fabulous event is FREE with a light luncheon to follow.

Marina Lee-Warner (Marj) has worked as a diversional therapist in both aged care and geriatric acute care hospital wards, and has also worked professionally in theatre, film and television. She admits that she and Marj might just have a little too much in common! Julie Joy (Shirl) brings a wealth of experience in aged care and currently runs her own business delivering music and movement programs in aged care homes throughout the Hunter Valley. Both Julie and Marina are experienced performers and passionate community workers who met through their shared love of creativity and connection.
